Words from hearts of the impoverished

Residents of Cuijia Village, Fei County, in the city of Linyi, of east China’s Shandong Province, married couple Ge Guangqi and Wang Shanrong were trapped in poverty due to a loss of working ability. A series of policies providing care for the elderly, land use rights transferring, relocation, and basic welfare have helped secure for them a comfortable life without worry over food and clothing. They hold up a sign that reads, “We moved from a small mountain village into a better community.
