Ge Aiping (L) talks about group-purchasing with villagers on the road. Benefitting from the online group-purchasing campaign were many villagers, one of whom was Yang Mingsheng. After heeding Ge Aiping’s advice, he planted 0.66 acres of red kidney beans and asked his family members to help him pack the beans. For each bag of beans, he managed to make 60 yuan (U.S. $8.69) more than before. Yang Erman, another villager, sold more than 1,000 yuan (U.S. $144.8) worth of mushrooms in the campaign last year.
