Majid KHAN

An exploration geophysicist interested in application of geophysical techniques coupled with geological approaches for understanding geology (shallow and deep earth). Conducted research in applied geophysics, solid geophysics, tectonophysics, hydrogeology, and underground engineering feasibility studies. Special interests include sedimentary basins analysis, regional tectonics, seismic sequence stratigraphy, and petroleum geology. Compatible in any research direction where applications of geophysical techniques are concerned. Presently, working on microearthquakes, geological hazards in underground engineering works, rock engineering, microseismic, acoustic emission etc. Dr. Khan has also been representing China-Pakistan cooperation on science and technology on various live tv shows.
