Sandrea FALCONER

Sandrea May Falconer served as Minister of Information and Gender Affairs for Jamaica 2012-2016 and was the Chief Spokesperson for the Government. As a minister, Ms. Falconer led the charge with new policies and legislation to fight Sexual Harassment and Gender Based Violence and drafted Jamaica’s very first Communications Policy. During her tenure, Jamaica moved for the first time in the top 10 in the World Press Freedom Index

Ms. Falconer is an experienced, innovative and creative all-round Communications, PR and Special Events Expert with a strong track record of delivering success, business growth and media coverage (online, broadcast and print). Deep and varied experience across media, corporate, consumer and public sector: building communication strategies based on clear customer insight, designing and implementing communications programmes using multiple channels particularly digital, social media, internal communications, press and broadcast media, stakeholder relations, public affairs, event management and campaign PR.

A frank but motivational team leader, project manager, trouble shooter and ‘safe pair of hands’, experienced in creating teams from scratch, merging teams and implementing cultural change to optimise performance.

Wide experience across all disciplines of communications, with in-depth knowledge of media and communications campaigns both as a practitioner and client.
