Poverty-stricken villages develop characteristic industries to shake off poverty in S China's Guangxi

In recent years, Luzhai County has strengthened its characteristic industries in poverty alleviation efforts. Some 89 percent poverty-stricken households in Luzhai County are engaged in characteristic industries, including planting and animal husbandry. From 2016 to 2019, all 22 poverty-stricken villages in Luzhai County have shaken off poverty, with the number of impoverished residents in the county dropping from 27,587 to 1,013.
