China’s peacekeepers are removing landmines from Lebanon’s border area with Israel

Since its participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations began in 1989, and it started dispatching forces in 1992, China has sent more than 39,000 military personnel and 2,700 police to Sudan, Lebanon, Cambodia, Libya, and many other countries and regions to work as peacekeepers, in more than 30 United Nations peacekeeping operations.
