Cows help farmers in Haiyuan County escape poverty

To date, 16,776 fertile cows were introduced in Haiyuan, of which 13,568 were sold to 4,783 households, including 4,157 impoverished ones. Of the cows sold, 11,365 have given birth to 3,226 calves. As for this year in particular, 4,319 cows were sold to 1,847 households; and of these cows sold, 4,072 of them were sold to 1,780 impoverished households.
