[Poverty Alleviation Through a Lens] Cadre from ICBC head office fights poverty

 To fully implement the central government’s policy on poverty alleviation through finance is one of Lou Kewei’s key tasks. After carrying out research, he found there are three main factors impeding farmers from using financing to lift themselves out of poverty: the relatively strict requirements, across all types of financial institutions, for farmers to obtain poverty alleviation loans; farmers’ lack of awareness and familiarity with accessing financial services; and the relative ineffectiveness of funds established by local government. Lou often pays visits to villagers’ families, financial institutions, and government departments, striving to coordinate and resolve these difficulties.
