Dawa Dakpa checks a new wax mould for making Lima Bronze product in Dege County of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, Nov. 3, 2024.

Dawa Dakpa was born into a family of craftsmen who have been carrying on the Lima Bronze casting technique for about 200 years in Maisu Town of Dege County. Dawa Dakpa learned from his father Nyima when he was young, becoming the seventh generation inheritor of the Lima Bronze casting technique. He is also the representative inheritor of "Tibetan metal forging skills" in Garze Prefecture, Sichuan Province. On the western Sichuan plateau, with an average altitude of more than 3,000 meters, there are many traditional Tibetan craftsmen. Through inheritance and innovation, their handicrafts go out from the plateau to the domestic and overseas markets. (Xinhua/Shen Bohan)
