Folk culture boosts rural vitalization in Shaanxi

Wangmang sub-district, Chang’an district, Xi’an city, Shaanxi province, has been actively exploring new rural development models since 2020, one of which has involved the creation of an “intangible cultural heritage market” in formerly abandoned homes that have since been renovated amidst the beautiful natural environment that exists at the northern foot of the Qingling Mountains in Xiaoyukou village. Efforts have also been made to engage in cultural innovation and to integrate agriculture and tourism in order to further promote rural vitalization in the hamlet.
