Leaf mustard industry brings more incomes for Chongqing’s rural residents

Farmers have been busy harvesting leaf mustard on a total of over 46,667 ha of land across more than 20 towns and villages in Fuling district, Chongqing municipality, and pickling it in recent weeks.

One of the city’s signature agricultural offerings, the product enjoys a high level of brand awareness, experiences a lot of demand, and stimulates other parts of the economy in rural Chongqing.

Six hundred thousand of Fuling’s rural residents have been able to increase their incomes and become more prosperous by growing leaf mustard, and nearly 2,000 of its households have done so by processing the vegetable.
