Following China's boom of live broadcast platforms and e-commerce, live-streaming e-commerce has achieved rapid development and created new job opportunities. In Haitou Town, over 3,000 people have switched to live-streaming selling. These live streamers often work from night till dawn to sell local marine products and other specialities. In the daytime, the goods sold through live streaming will be sent to their consumers via express delivery by local employees. In such way, sales of the products have been dramatically boosted compared with the past, which have brought more job opportunities to local people as well as increased their incomes. In 2019, the sales volume of marine products via e-commerce here has surpassed 5 billion yuan (about 7,17 million U.S. dollars). (Xinhua/Li Yuze)
