Production resumes at poverty alleviation garment factory in Shandong

Employees of a factory that was built for poverty alleviation purposes in Qiangangtou community,Yinqueshan sub-district, Lanshan district, Linyi city, Shandong province have recently been busy filling an underwear order that originated in Japan. It is the fifth export order that the factory has received since production resumed after it was temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
A Shandong-based clothing manufacturer that mostly focuses on international business known as Feilu Garment Co. Ltd. built the factory with the support of the local government, which created 50 new jobs in the area.
The enterprise has actively engaged in online negotiations, contract signings, and other proceedings with overseas merchants during the pandemic period, which has resulted in more than 10 million yuan’s (US$1.43 million’s) worth of orders so far this year. The efforts have generated income for the company and its employees and helps them escape from poverty.
