Chinese medical supplies arrived in Sudan to fight the COVID-19 pandemic on April 15, according to China International Development Cooperation Agency’s official website.
The supplies included ventilators, virus sampling equipment, nucleic acid testing reagents, protective gowns and face shields.
Undersecretary of Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sideeg said that the Chinese government has provided invaluable support and assistance to Sudan when Sudan is facing serious challenges in terms of the import and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which once again reflects the solid strategic partnership between the two countries and the friendship between their peoples.
At present, anti-epidemic materials are scarce in Sudan and necessary equipment is in short supply for medical workers. Sideeg thanked China for its timely help to Sudan, which will greatly enhance the country’s ability and confidence in fighting the pandemic.
