Walnut industry helps farmers increase their incomes in Hebei

Geographical conditions and other advantages that are present in Zanhuang county, Shijiazhuang city, Hebei province have made it possible to vigorously develop its walnut industry in recent years. A comprehensive processing and production chain has been formed based on the “government + enterprises + micro-factories + farmers” model. Fifty-six micro-factories have been built for poverty alleviation purposes so far and employ nearly 2,000 residents near their homes. The industry boosts economic development in Zanhuang and helps farmers increase their incomes.
