Cheng Chunxia is a native of Liufeng village, Gangu county, Gansu province who was impoverished until she began working at a garment factory that was built for poverty alleviation purposes. Cheng spent her time farming and looking after her children prior to this development.

The workshop that Cheng became employed at was established as a result of a partnership program in which localities in eastern China assist communities in the nation’s western regions with poverty alleviation projects and endeavors.

Cheng’s efforts have paid off. The seamstress was promoted to quality assurance manager after a year as a result of her dedication and ability. She now makes double what she made when she began working at the factory. The hardworking employee summarized: “I hope all of the staff at our facility can work together to ensure that we produce quality items. The better our results are, the more secure our incomes will be.”
