A model that involves the local “village committee + enterprises + farmers” was implemented at the 43.3-ha vegetable demonstration base in Tongmai village, Mirui township, Linzhi city, Tibet autonomous region about three years ago, which has made it possible for local growers to increase their incomes by cultivating pollution-free vegetables. Thirty of Tongmai’s households have been able to bring in an average of 40,000 additional yuan (US$5,714) per year compared to what they were making before they began working at the base.
