A factory that was built for poverty alleviation purposes in Aimian village, Chang'an town, Rong'an county, Liuzhou city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region mostly produced school uniforms and other children's garments before the COVID-19 outbreak but was recently retooled so that it can be used to manufacture face masks in order to help with control and prevention efforts. An average of about 10,000 masks are currently created at the workshop every day, and up to 30,000 can be produced when it is operating at full capacity. Plans are in the works to hire more employees, especially impoverished people who have relocated to nearby areas.
