Youth Actions on Green Agricultural Heritage: Global Cultural Symbiosis is co-initiated by World Food Forum (China) and China Internet Information Center. The goal is to establish a series of activities focused on cultural exchange and mutual learning pertaining to Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) and fostering multi-stakeholder engagement from UN agencies, agricultural departments from multiple countries, media, authoritative experts, public figures and youth participants. The initiative will unfold through exchanges and video releases showcasing youth-driven innovations related to agricultural heritage, with activities held in Shanghai, China, Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, Vientiane, Laos, and Rome, Italy.

As an island with two GIAHs, Jeju Batdam Agricultural Systemand Jeju Haenyeo Fisheries System, Jeju carries rich agricultural and fisheries wisdom.Youth representatives here proposed diverse solutions, from digital documentation to community education, to better connect traditional agricultural systems with modern society.

The footsteps of youth weave together a cross-national network. They bring traditional agricultural wisdom beyond their hometowns, turning it into globally shared experience.
