State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has enhanced power supply to drive rural industrial growth in Huaxi Village of Shizhu Tujia Autonomous County, southwest China's Chongqing.
A local noodle manufacturing enterprise was in dire need of dynamic electricity after being established in the village in 2021.
Within a mere three days, staff of State Grid installed a new 200 kVA transformer next to the factory premises, resolving the power supply challenges, said Bai Xiangdong, general manager of the noodle manufacturer.
"State Grid staff also conduct regular on-site inspections, instilling confidence in the reliability of electricity supply," Bai added.
As for now, the company is planning to upgrade the existing 35-millimeter bare wires to 120-millimeter insulated overhead lines, so as to ensure electrical safety for rural industries in the village, said Zeng Yonghong, a staff member of the power supply company.
In the village, the company has set up electricity service stations to provide various kinds of services such as application processing, business consultation, and fault reporting. It has also promoted online payment of electricity bills and installations among the villagers.
Over the past three years, it is estimated that State Grid Chongqing company has invested a total of 6.937 billion yuan in upgrading and renovating rural power grids.
