China will make poverty reduction experience more suitable for global contexts, said Wang Dajun, director of foreign capital utilization at the International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC).

He made the remarks this week at the International Workshop on Global Poverty Reduction Partnerships in Rome, Italy.The summit seeks to promote knowledge sharing and to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular No Poverty and Zero Hunger.
According to“The Millennium Development Goals Report 2015”, China is the first country in the world that has halved the proportion of people living in poverty, which has contributed to over 70 percent of global poverty reduction.
Wang said that China's accomplishments are linked to CPC leadership,the reform and opening-up policy, rapid economic development, strategic planning, and extensive international exchange and cooperation.
He added that it was very important that poverty reduction strategies and policiesin different stages of development are consistent with the national conditions atthat time in China.
“We will invite international organizations and English-speaking experts to summarize the poverty experience to share China’s poverty reduction experience across the world,” he added.
