In recent years, Longyao county, Xingtai city, Hebei province, has striven to advance the transformation and upgrade of its clothing industry. It has encouraged local enterprises to produce Beijing embroidery and make use of other traditional techniques, developed cheongsam and other handmade embroidery products, and provided embroidery skills training for left-behind women who live in its borders free of charge. The measures have promoted the inheritance of traditional intangible cultural craftsmanship and helped the county develop its garment industry.
