Xinhua,January 10, 2020 Adjust font size:

Village Party secretary Yin Shouming receives the annual dividends for the village collective in Daoping Village in Longnan City, northwest China's Gansu Province, on Jan. 7, 2020. Villagers of 79 households who are shareholders of Daoping Village's joint-stock cooperative received their dividends for the year 2019 on Tuesday. Altogether 785,000 yuan (112,600 U.S. dollars) were distributed to the individual and village collective this year. Daoping was once a village struck by deep poverty. Since 2018, the village has strived to get rid of poverty by setting up cooperatives and developing industries such as ancient village tourism, animal husbandry and rural e-commerce.
