FAO: China requires new partnerships to go the “last mile” in eradicating extreme poverty

As the year 2020 approaches, China is getting closer to its own  deadline to eradicate extreme poverty. While the Chinese government continues to implement targeted measures in poverty alleviation, it also promotes a rural revitalization strategy focusing on agriculture and rural poverty. China’s poverty reduction efforts, the Belt and Road initiative and South South Cooperation provide opportunities for other countries to learn from China’s experiences. In any journey, reaching the last mile is always the hardest. Let’s listen to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations’ suggestions on poverty reduction.
