The first South-South Human Rights Forum, sponsored by the State Council Information Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, opens in Beijing, December 7, 2017. A session on the theme of “Poverty Alleviation and the Safeguarding of the Right to Food in Countries under South-South Cooperation” gathered delegates from China and abroad to exchange views on South-South cooperation and the development of human rights. The session was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development. (China.org/Zheng Liang)
