At the Zihe organic peach-picking garden, located in Peicundian Township, peach trees are already in full bloom, as of late March 2017. Many visitors and even villagers living in the vicinity are drawn to the garden to admire its flowers, take photos, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In recent years—in what has been one of the highlights of industrial poverty alleviation in the area—poor farmers have been encouraged to develop the local ecology, forests, and orchards and to plant new species to reap the sweet fruits, and fortune, of their labor.
